Since I (for once), was going to an event where I might come back with my heals on my feet and not in my hands, and my make-up where it’s supposed to be, I decided to make more of an effort with my appearance than I usually do. I left my hair in the very talented hands of the hairdressers at Belissima where I decided on some highlights appropriate for summer (please arrive soon btw), and a sophisticated blow dry!
In the spirit of my beautiful curls, a very charming italian stylist recommended, I’d keep my hair up, before the venue. This didn’t stop me from being hungry, so I ended up wandering the streets of South Ken looking like this (picture), before we ended up at Le Pain. I’m not gonna lie, a lot of people stared, and I don’t blame them, but I still think Ingrid was more bothered than me, when we walked into the restaurant, arm in arm!

And look at those waves!!!!!! I’m definitely investing more on blow dries in the future!! My dress is from Theyskens’ Theory, and it was a gift from my date. Beautiful right?
Unfortunately the wind didn’t support my decision on looking anywhere even close to presentable, because after walking outside the Tower of London, in something I suspect was a hurricane, my hair could just as well have spent three hours in a dryer. But hey! What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? Right?Photos were strictly forbidden, but as a loyal instagrammer I managed to get some snaps with my iPhone. Unfortunately I forgot to turn on the flash…
After the viewing of the jewels we were escorted to the White Tower where we were greeted with an amazing three course meal, and then we were taken outside to see the Ceremony of the Keys. If you don’t know what this is, don’t panic, neither I nor my date had a clue, but apparently they’ve been doing the ritual every day for 600 years!! Yes, SIX HUNDRED YEARS!!!

After exploring literally every corner of the Tower of London, we decided to continue the night with jagerbombs, and then we ended up meeting some of my friends for drinks at Zefi! VERY FUN, but it wasn’t as enjoyable to drag myself out of bed for a surprise birthday on Saturday!
